The African Queen Company and its facilities are ideally suited for functions and venue hire.
THE FOLLOWING ARE OFFERED:
WEDDINGS & FUNCTIONS
To make this special day unforgettable, the ideal sequence of the wedding day can be as follows:
Bride arrives at the Royal Landing on board the horse drawn carriage from
Victoria Falls Horse Safaris.
The wedding ceremony is held on board the African Queen or African Princess.
After the ceremony the bridal couple can use one of the Victoria Falls River Safari Boats
to go to an island for wedding photographs or celebrate the wedding above the Victoria Falls
in one of the Batoka Sky Helicopters.
All the guests remain on the boat and are later joined at the Royal Landing for the reception.
Numbers required: No minimum numbers | Maximum numbers – 120
NOTE: All the formal requirements of the wedding ceremony can be arranged by
Livingstone’s Adventure staff (at an extra cost).
AFRICAN QUEEN DINNERS
As the sun wanes and the African darkness envelops you, return to the Royal Landing for a dinner you’ll never forget. Several buffet dinner options are on offer.
SUNSET CRUISE FOLLOWED BY DINNER
We offer the exclusive use of the African Queen Cruise Company boats for your dinner. We can accommodate our clients as follows.
> Between 20 – 75 people for dinner on-board the African Queen.
> Between 20 – 40 people for dinner on The African Princess.
> Between 20 – 120 on the wooden deck at the Royal Landing.
DINNER WITHOUT CRUISE
For an alternative venue for dinner, dine quayside on the African Queen.
Transfers and details available on request.
Dinners are by pre-arrangement only, minimum numbers do apply.
Cocktail functions can be held at the Royal Landing jetty on an exclusive basis. The function starts after the regular sunset cruise has docked for the evening. Minimum number for booking confirmation is 20 people and the maximum number of people is 120.
Various types of entertainment are available for hire (at an extra charge).
RAIN PLAN FOR DINNERS
The rainy season in Zambia is from November – April with late afternoon thunder showers the most common. In case of rain the clients will be, depending on the size of the group, divided into two groups and dinner will be served on the lower decks of both boats. Another option will be to hire a marquee at an additional cost.

With the below configurations, at full capacity, the African Queen can accommodate 120 people; a minimum number of 110 people are required for the exclusive hire of the cruise vessel.
