Catch a Tiger Fish on the Zambezi

Rated by many sports anglers as some of the finest freshwater fighting fish in the world, tiger fishing on the Zambezi should undoubtedly be on your 2019 safari bucket list. The fishing starts at Kalai Island, 9km above the Falls moving downstream.

We supply all fishing equipment and tackle. Non-fishing partners are welcome to join the river safari experience, special rates apply.

Maximum anglers 6 per boat or 4 plus non-fishing partners. Make sure to bring a hat and sunglasses and possibly a jacket for the early morning chill on the water.

Sip G&Ts on a Sunset Cruise above Victoria Falls

A sunset cruise above the Victoria Falls is one of the most iconic activities to add to your 2019 safari bucket list. The African Cruise Company has two vessels; the African Queen and the smaller, but equally luxurious African Princess. Both offer the combination of old world charm and magnificent river views.

The sunset cruise is without a doubt our most popular option and a great opportunity to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the river. There’s also a great chance of seeing hippo, crocodiles, elephant and other antelope along the river bank.

Victoria Falls activities

Have breakfast on a river island near Victoria Falls

Our river safaris explore the meandering Zambezi River, above the Victoria Falls. The early morning cruise offers fantastic game viewing and great photographic opportunities. The birdlife is exceptional and your guide will help to point out important sightings.

Half way, you’ll stop for a light breakfast and hot refreshments. There’s a good possibility of seeing elephants and hippo in the river, as well as white rhino, buffalo, giraffe and smaller antelope on the banks.
