We’ve listed a few of our favourite activities on offer at Livingstone’s Adventure to get your little ones away from their digital devices and into the great outdoors in Zambia!
Quad Biking in Vic Falls
Although not suitable for children under the age of 12, quad biking can be a great option for families with older children visiting Victoria Falls. Our quad bike trips vary from bush track riding (while experiencing the local village life) to quad bike eco safaris. Choose between:
60 Minute Eco Trail at Batokaland
An exciting fun-filled ride through the African bush which takes you over humps, through ditches, around bends and down hills. The chance of meeting game along the way adds to the thrill of the trail. Departure times, every 2 hours from 07h00.
150 Minute Village Trail
The Village Trails is an exhilarating ride which takes you from Mukuni to Machenje Village over a dune, through dense bush and on to the Sichilobe Village. We stop for a refreshing drink, turn around and the adventure starts all over again! Departure times on request.
Canoeing Adventures on the Zambezi River
Looking for a kid-friendly Victoria Falls activity with a difference? Join Makora Quest for the chance to paddle your way through river channels and drift down stretches of one of Africa’s most majestic rivers. This fun, family activity combines fun, moderate excercise and the beauty of the Zambezi River all in one half day experience. For children, choose either a morning Zambezi canoe safari from 08h30 to 12h00, or an afternoon on the Zambezi from 13h30 to 17h00. Both activities include light snacks and beverages.
Return transfers from local Livingstone hotels for all Canoe Safari Activities are included in the rate. Life jackets are provided and must be worn at all time while on the river.
The following age restrictions apply:
- 10 years of age for the Half Day Canoe Safaris.
- 12 years of age for the Full Day Safari.
- Minors must be accompanied by a parent or minder.
Horse Riding in Vic Falls
Explore magnificent Victoria Falls on horseback along trails within the National Park which boast beautiful landscapes and the chance of spotting game. For younger children we also offer horse-drawn carriage rides and pony rides – a wonderful introduction to horse riding for children over the age of four years.
Game viewing on a River Safari
A river safari is a fantastic way to spot game and birdlife during a stay in Victoria Falls. Our propeller-free safari boats can operate in water as shallow as 20cm, increasing our operational range to as close as 200 metres from the Victoria Falls. As a result, we can now offer cruises to amazing parts of the Zambezi that have previously been out of reach.
We offer early morning, lunch time and sunset cruises. Children under 12 enjoy reduced rates which can be found on our website.
For more information on any of the above offerings, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling +260 21 3 323589 / +260 978 770175. We look forward to helping you plan an exciting stay in Victoria Falls with your family.
