Holiday in Zambia: Your Fish is My Command
With over 75 species in the rolling waters of the Zambezi River, you can’t go wrong with a fishing excursion in Zambia. Our Zambezi River Fishing Safaris offer one of the most exciting and challenging experiences for avid anglers- the chance to catch the Tiger fish.
Fishing in Zambia
Our fishing expeditions are done in the morning – we collect our guests at 07h30 by boat at the Royal Livingstone Hotel deck.
If you choose to be collected by road transfer, we will collect guests from accommodation venues in Livingstone town. Departure is at 08h00 from the Royal Landing Jetty for an exciting morning’s fishing on the Zambezi.
We usually start at Kalai Island – about 9 km above the Falls. We then move downstream between the islands looking for the best spot where the fish are found. Both trips return at 12:00.

Safety tips and what to bring with you on a Zambia fishing trip
All of our fishing boats are fitted with life jackets (which guests are required to wear), an anchor, paddles and a radio for communication with our headquarters on shore.
Even in the winter months, the African sun can be very powerful – it is advisable to bring a hat and sunglasses with you for added protection. We also recommend dresses in light, long layers for more protection from the elements.
