SAFETY & SECURITY

Cape Town Hollow is situated in Gardens, a quiet,
safe and friendly corner of the Mother city...

The hotel is extremely central, and thanks to the ongoing work done by the Central City Improvement District*, it’s very safe to walk about.

*The Central City Improvement District is a private–public partnership formed by the property owners of a defined geographical area to provide top–up or complementary services over and above what the City of Cape Town provides.
These services help Cape Town to be a clean, safe and caring city.

Due to this cooperative effort, the crime rate has dropped significantly and many incidents are prevented from happening. The valuable complementary services provided by the CCID security partnership ensures that additional officers are being deployed in the Central City 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

GENERAL SAFETY TIPS

Due to poverty in certain areas,
crime and theft can be a problem, so it is
strongly advised that safety
precautions be taken, such as:

Try not to carry large amounts of
cash and be discreet with expensive
cameras, jewellery etc.

Do not walk in deserted areas,
especially after dark and always
park in designated, well-lit areas.

When driving, keep your doors locked and
while parked lock your belongings in the boot
(trunk) rather than leave them in the open.

Ask our concierge or locals to advise
you on areas that should be avoided.
