Timbavati Traverse
TIMBAVATI PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE
The Timbavati Private Nature Reserve finally hosted the much anticipated 45km Timbavati Traverse ultramarathon in September 2021. All proceeds of the event went towards the protection of rhinos. Grant Murphy, head guide at Kings Camp ran 92km to raise funds for conservation. Murphy is a passionate runner and he used this chance to raise much-needed funds to support the Timbavati canine anti-poaching unit and Umoya Khulula Wildlife Centre.

Rotary & Kings Camp Community Service Partnership
TIMBAVATI PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE
Thanks to the partnership between Rotary Club of Polokwane and Kings Camp over the past 19 years many deserving communities and charities have benefitted including: environmental education centres, a school for the blind, boreholes, pumps and potable water to rural schools, solar power to homes in disadvantaged rural areas, wheelchairs donation, orphanage support, cyclone disaster relief, rhino poaching initiatives and more.

Timbavati Foundation
TIMBAVATI PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE
Started almost 20 years ago by the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve (TPNR) and the de Villiers family, landowners in the TPNR. The Foundation is steeped in the spirit of Ubuntu and works extensively to uplift the lives of communities neighbouring the TPNR via a series of ongoing outreach programmes based on 4 pillars: education, conservation & environmental awareness, community upliftment & social care and healthcare.

Lesedi Day Care Centre
MADIKWE GAME RESERVE
Forming a joint mission with Madikwe Game Reserve to promote economic and social upliftment, Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge has taken on a community uplifting project involving Lesedi Day Care Centre in Rietpan, a rural village an hour and 45 minutes away and home to some of the staff employed at the lodge. The Lesedi Day Care Centre has a passionate owner, Regina Senna, who will thrive with financial support as she has already proven herself as a determined woman focused on the welfare of children. The aim of this project is to assist and support Regina to run her business independently through sustainable income.

Tuningi has adopted a local pre-school as well as the Grade R class in the Supingstad Primary School as our community project. They utilise donations from guests according to needs as they occur, having donated new tables and chairs colouring books, memory sticks, water bottles, items of clothing and much more.

SABI SAND GAME RESERVE
Leopard Hills partnered with the Good Work Foundation (GWF) to launch a digital learning campus in the nearby rural village of Dumphries. The GWF is an NGO focussed on digital learning opportunities for young adults and scholars living in rural communities.
